Here's a really nice example of a 1990 (first year) reissue '59 Fender 5F6-A Bassman. Made in January of that year. Additional photos available on request.
Condition - Like new, all original with the exception of the panel light bulb. Has the owners manual and hang tags. This amp has been played sparingly and lived in an Anvil case all it's life. It looks like it just came off the showroom floor in 1990, and has the original Fender Special Design tube set (2 - 6L6GC and 3 - 7025.) The noise floor is very low and pots are quiet. There is no evidence of service work being performed inside.
These came out of the factory with a removable solid state rectifier (still in place) and put out "over 55" watts according to the manual. If replaced with a 5U4GB valve the output is reduced to 46 watts, with a 5AR4 valve you get 50 watts.
Speakers are the desirable blue-frame Eminence 10" with alnico magnets, paper cones, paper surrounds, and kraft paper voice coil formers like the original Bassman speakers. These compliment the 5F6 circuit nicely and deliver the quintessential Fender sound.
