For sale we have a nice 1 owner tobacco sunburst McCarty model built in 2005. The guitar has been played little and well cared for. Minor play and handling wear consists of superficial/light scratches that you have to look for. No dings or dents anywhere. No visible fret wear. There is minor patina and plating wear on the pickup covers and stop-tail bridge. The instrument is in very respectable shape for an 18 year old instrument. The OHSC is in excellent condition as well and includes the original case candy.

PRS was approached in 1992 by guitarist David Grissom who wanted a guitar built that had several changes from a PRS Custom of the era, including an increased headstock angle, 1/8" thicker body with a 'Michigan Maple' top,  a shorter wide-fat neck with simple inlays, and a stop-tail bridge. The McCarty Model grew out of this request according to company literature.
