We have a 1978 Ibanez PF200 for sale in good vintage condition. We weren't sure what color to call this, but the 1978 catalog shows Burned Zebra (BZ) with a similar looking top. This guitar has lots of handling and play wear, with none of that affecting playability or sound. The majority of hardware looks to be what it left the factory with. The 'star' Ping machine heads, Gibraltar lockdown bridge and Quik-Change tailpiece are all intact and function properly  The original Super 70 PUPs, 3-way switch, and 3 of the 4 control pots are the original issue. The original SureGrip knobs were replaced with black speed knobs by someone, with the neck volume knob mounted higher than the other knobs (perhaps for pinky swells?.) The 'Professional' engraved truss rod cover is gone, having been replaced with a metal one engraved 'Texas Jim Silver' . The pickguard has a small repaired screw hole crack near the base of the 22nd fret. There is no loose binding or binding-rot. There is considerable fret wear, however all notes still ring clear up the neck and string bends are not choking out.

This 45 year old Ibanez Professional presents itself well and is a nice player. Comes with a nice newer hardshell case.Weighs in at 8.8 lbs on our shop scale.
