Here's a near spot-on recreation of a classic guitar from Gibson's custom shop, the Explorer. Introduced in 1958, the original guitars were built with korina (limba,) whereas this reissue is mahogany. This guitar is in excellent condition, having been minimally played and properly stored by the original owner. This is also a Gibson Custom relic'd guitar, featuring buckle rash towards the top, a few light dings on the neck and other areas, with finish checking pretty much everywhere. None of the wear present was done by the original owner, it's all factory. Like the original '58  the instrument has gold plated metal parts and Tulip button Kluson tuners. The neck profile is listed as a "58 V", similar to that of a 59 Les Paul. It features a smooth playing Rosewood fretboard, with 22 frets, and "Banjo Fretwire" listed as the size. It's loaded with two Gibson CustomBucker humbuckers, and features short pots and Bumblebee capacitors with a three way switch, individual volume knobs, and a master tone. It comes with the original case and candy including the specifications sheet, certificate of authenticity, and hang-tags.

This is a high quality remake of an iconic guitar. If you have any questions regarding this instrument, please feel free to give us a call or message.
