We have a 1970's Attila Balogh Bass guitar in the store. The original guitar was configured as a p-bass style, and later converted to a dual humbucker style by the owner, who may have also done the refinish. It's a solid instrument, constructed of maple (neck and body) with a rosewood fingerboard. The original 1970s Leo Quan Badass bridge and Grover Titan 'waffle' tuners are non-corroded and shiny. Volume and tone for each pickup are on stacked pots with knob and ring control. The pickup selector is a 3-way mini switch. Bridge pickup is a boutique, hand-wound Thunderbird mini-humbucker. The neck pickup is a 1970's Gibson EB humbucker/mudbucker that was rewound but retains the cover with the Gibson logo inscribed. The neck is very good, and it plays nicely with lots of sustain from that solid maple body and heavy bridge. The pickguard and truss rod cover were made at the owners request in our shop a couple of years ago. The bass weighs in at 11.2 pounds. Comes with a hardshell Roadrunner case.
